Oh I am so sorry this has happened to your family… :(
I would just keep supporting them, encouraging them, letting them know that they are great kids and that it isn’t all their fault. Suicide is such a sad and complicated thing.
Maybe you can take them to see a child psychologist to help them to realize that these events aren’t their fault.
I hope and pray that things get better for you and your family.

if they ask you why did their mom committed suicide, tell them that that was her will, tell them that they have nothing to do with that. You can take them to therapy that helps but not always, the best way to help is talking and explainig what is suicide and they will understand that suicide is a choice when you don’t have an option or when life is hard. i

That is so so sad. First and most important make sure they know she was sick that is why she committed suicide and they had nothing to do with it. Then get them to counseling immediately. They need to talk to someone and grieve. Let them know how much you love them and how much their parents loved them. Good luck to you and them.

Listing to them, talking to them, buying what the need(but no everything or you’ll spoil them).
Most of all, ***Treat them the way you treat your own daughter or the way you will like someone to treate your daughter if you are not around.***

    Get them into therapy ASAP!
Loving them and talking to them is a great start, but for this kind of trauma, you should go with professional help.

Get them a free copy of a Bible.

My mother committed suicide 25 years ago. I still blame myself. I’ve managed to live with the consequences, but it continually haunts me. Depression does terrible things to people. It changes the brain chemistry. It clouds the mind with thoughts that aren’t their own. When they lose all hope, the depression causes them to things they wouldn’t normally do. I’m sure their mother didn’t want to die. Suicide is almost always a cry for help that goes terribly awry. The kids need to realize that their mother needed the kind of help that only God could give them. They also need to be shown that suicide is not an option. That’s where professional help comes in.

They are in a stage of “self-blame”. When don’t have to be young to experience this feeling either. They need a real counselor…maybe a guidance counselor at school or the pastor at your church. They need to understand that their parent’s death is not their fault. Until they accept, which no one can ever say when they will, they will be able to move on somewhat and live life. I want you to hang in there for them and show them the love they need right now…that is so important for you and the kids.
    Just be strong for them.

Wow. I just want to start by saying that I am so sorry for your loss. My dad actually just killed himself about 4 months ago. It is so hard. You just have to assure them it’s not their fault. Their mom is now in a much better place. It had nothing to do with them. I thought the same ting when my dad died but you have to realize that when we are down here upset and sad all the time it hurts our parents to see us that way and it makes them feel bad. Please help them realize that they will see her again some day in Heaven and it’s not the end, but a whole new beginning. Their mom isn’t in pain about whatever made her do what she did in the first place. Im only 13 so I’m close to their age and I know that it’s hard for them. I am so sorry for your loss. But I hope my advice helped:)

how sad…….these twins need professional counseling at that is it! In the meantime however, keep encouraging them to realize it is not their fault. Tell them their mothe took the easy way out because it takes more courage to live then it does to die. How sad for you and your family, I can not understand how some one could be so selfish as to leave their loved ones behind with this greif……..they should be angry with her if anything and I am sure they will have alot of different emotions. God Bless!
