Yes they should, I have been bullied a lot, and a few months ago I was on the brink of suicide, and I was sent to a mental institution. I just got out because people thought I healed, but they were wrong, I will never heal from what those people did to me and my friends. I feel so bad inside, I just wanna kill myself.

They should be liable, but unfortunately the law states otherwise. They are the factual cause of the suicide, but the legal causation can’t be proved, because it was the victim’s own act. The law ought to be changed when it comes to bullying, because the victim would not be driven to suicide if it wasn’t for the despicable act of a nasty individual(s). She should be slung in jail, but unfortunately the law won’t permit it. It stinks, it really does. I was bullied too, and I contemplated suicide. Believe me, you can’t feel much lower than that.

Slhwoohoo: I’m so sorry to hear you went through that. I experienced bullying myself, but it obviously wasn’t as bad as yours. One day, you’ll be able to heal, and I know it takes time, but it will happen, trust me. xxxx

It’s a terrible story. It’s true that they didn’t intend that she kill herself, but it’s still ridiculous and irresponsible behavior for adults. I think they should be held liable in a civil court, if only as a deterrent to others who assume that ethical behavior stops online.
