   Suicide is a retarded idea, whether or not you believe in life after death. Rat her out. She’ll thank you years after she’s recovered from her angst.

   If she insists, I guess it can’t be helped. But don’t live with accepting this on your conscience

   You would be betraying her by not telling someone. Tell her parents, the cops, a teacher, someone. You will be a good friend if you do. Let her be mad because it is better than hugging a grave stone.

   let her know how important she is to you and that suicide may take away her problems but it would hurt everyone in her life. a friend of mine commited suicide in 2006 and she didn’t tell anyone…try to figure out whatever problems shes dealing with together and tell YOUR parents they can give you advice on how to handle the situation appropriately since they know her and may somewhat know whats going on in her life. LET HER KNOW YOU ARE THERE FOR HER AND THAT SUICIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER. and thank her for letting you know, the fact that she told you is proof that she hasn’t decided to do it otherwise it would have been done, take this opportunity to persuade her thoughts.

   It’s understandable that you don’t want to betray your friend. This is a common, and difficult situation. But think of it this way, if you tell someone (a person that can help, like a parent or teacher), and your friend never talks to you again, at least she is alive right? But trust me, she will eventually forgive you, and come to understand that you did what you did to protect her. Also imagine if she were to actually commit suicide, how would you feel? If she dies, you did too little, too late.
