My heart goes out FIRST AND FOREMOST to the victims. I’m worried about his parents well being though. There will be people out for blood and retribution for what happened. They will be blamed for what their son did. A lot of people will think it’s their fault because they raised him that way. They will blame them because they will think the parents should have known something was wrong and done something about it. In the end, there was probably nothing they could have done to prevent this from happening.

    I agree.

I agree completely. They are going through a sense of loss of their own, and cannot openly express their grief. Cho’s terrible actions were his only; the family is innocent of any wrongdoing and should not at all be held responsible. Unfortunately, there are some narrow-minded people who will do just that. :(

I only hope that everyone could have the heart that you do because the way you are feeling is the correct way to feel. I’m sure that his parents would rather that he had been one of the victims instead of the victimizer. They must feel terribly alone now. I pray for them also.

    I agree.

First of all, I feel sorry for the victims and their family and friends but yes, I agree with you too. I also feel very sorry for Cho’s family too because I am sure that they feel really bad because of the pressure of the media, what his son/brother did, and because of his death.
    They should feel terrible :-(
They may be concerned because now that Cho is dead, they are going to be labeled as the killer’s family and the media will follow them and people will point them forever if they stay living in the US.

Man, that’s deep, but yeah i agree. I mean, they lost a child too. Their son commited suicide, and not to mention, they’re gonna get blamed for raising their child wrong. That’s the way it is in America, everyone blames the one in charge if something goes wrong. In the Columbine shootings, parents who lost a child sued the parents of the kids who did the shootings. They blamed them for what their child did. Just because their sons had ideas. America was founded on ideas, and even though the idea in Columbine and in VA Tech shootings were sick and twisted, people are blaming the innocent. Just because someone’s kid screwed up does not mean the parent screwed up as well. I don’t sympathize for anyone above anyone. I sympathize for Cho’s family, for the victims who died and the ones who lived, for the witnesses, and for the families of the victims and the witnesses. I keep them all in my thoughts and in my prayers.

Absolutely, I agree. I also have his family in my prayers as it must also be so devastating for them. May Allah give them peace and courage to go on with their lives. Ameen

My continued prayers go out for all of the victims of VT and may Allah grant everyone peace and courage as well. Ameen
