  2. I hope I win the Lotto!, September 3, 2010:

I didn’t read your story. But your family would be really sad if you left. I use to have feelings of suicide then I got right with Jesus. You should just pray. Jesus will help you I promise it took a lot for you to be here so me others didn’t make the cut! Your special there is something on this Earth that needs to be done that only you can do………

  3. yes, i'm THAT girl, September 3, 2010:

first things first, i don’t think youre crazy.. I’ve been there and had pretty much the same thoughts.. don’t go.. i’ve cheered up a bunch since all that stuff.. don’t even think about it! :) you’re obviously a very smart person.. just don’t make that dumb decision!

  4. Kristin, September 3, 2010:

I don’t think that you are crazy for asking, just curious.
I’m not sure that there is a possible answer for this question. I suppose if you were to set yourself on fire…but um ouch!

May I suggest counseling as well?
Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary issue.
If your going to die anyways, why wouldn’t you want to take in as much as you can now?

  5. qwerty, September 3, 2010:

umm… wow. I guess you could go verrry far away where no one would find you and kill yourself.

  6. criss, September 3, 2010:

Suicide doesn’t resolve much and as for life, we all die someday should I kill my self cuz “oh well im gonna die anyway so whats the point”.

its very disturbing that you would post this and makes me very sad. cherish your life. because you are only going to get one.
if you had one last day to spend with someone before they were going to die, and you and them both knew they were going to die, would you cut it short, just because u already knew the end was going to come anyways? or would you cherish your last moments with them??

not only would that be putting your family in debt, it would tear them up inside im sure. you dont know how it would feel for them to have to live on their lives without you.

its so crazy because not even 3 minutes ago i was watchinq the tyra show about a girl who was thinking about suicide and said something about it on the internet and another woman who read what she posted came and really saved her life.

im not going to answer your question…i just want you to know that every life is a cherished life.enjoy it while you have it because you wont get another one.

get life insurance. also, maybe if you set up some pre-paid visits to like a therapist or psychologist, your family can talk to them and heal without having to worry about paying for the visits. and if you have pets or kids, make sure you have a place for them to go.

OR: you could go somewhere far away and get burned or otherwise decapitated/mutilated so even if your body is found, no one can identify you

  9. JustSayYes, September 4, 2010:

If you just casually mention that you don’t want a memorial, just.. Burried in a cardboard coffin, so they don’t have to pay like, 8 grand for a coffin and a funeral.. And then throw yourself off a cliff.

and then they’ll think you ‘slipped’ and they wont feel bad that they could have seen you were depressed and could have saved you.

Umm… Yeah. It makes sense to me if it doesnt to you.

    Bury yourself 10 feet underground.

  11. Nawg, September 4, 2010:

Actually most life insurance policies won’t pay out for a suicide. Just live for awhile. Have you ever been tortured or mutilated? Are you so retarded you can’t wipe your ass? Have you ever been in an accident where you lost your legs and arms? Life could be worse.

  12. Amy, September 4, 2010:

Suicide is selfish it’s as simple as that. I used to feel the same way as you but it passes. I went off and did some things I wanted to do. I changed my environment completely and learned to live a new way, a happier way. Depression and angst is not the end of the world even though you can’t envision feeling a different way. Now that I have travelled a little, changed my surroundings, met people who I love and care about suicide is the last thing on my mind. In fact now I am scared of dying… I love being alive too much.

I know this wasnt your question but having been in a similar place I felt I had to say something.

Sounds like you’re bored with life and haven’t set any challenges for yourself.

Try an easy challenge that you know you can do, like jumping on a bike and riding somewhere with a backpack with drinks and lunch. Sit and enjoy the view and relish in your accomplishment.

Next, think of a slightly more challenging task, like hiring a canoe and paddling up a river a ways with that backpack and a camera to show others of your fun outing.

I’m sure you could think of lots more off-beat challenges for yourself that are both interesting and gently competitive against what you have been up to now with your old boring existance.

Get on a train and go touring for a day or the weekend….take the camera.
Pretty soon others will get envious of your excursions and want to come along on your magical mystery tours……I want to already.

Wake up and live….you’re a long time in that long black box, so get out there and have fun while you can, cos we all get just one chance and then its over.

Try to do one fun thing for yourself every day.

    Cheers,

    Danny

Suicidal thoughts are often one way of realizing that there are certain aspects of the self (behavioral or emotional) of one’s life that you want “killed” off. The pain is real and one can’t seem to find a way out so “leaving” appears as an option.

You worry about a financial debt you would leave – have you considered FULLY the emotional, psychological and even spiritual debt you may cause by this behavior to your family and those who love you.

I do not think you crazy – but sad, frightened and in some sort of psychic pain. Members of families do not operate in isolation – the entire family is involved here.

Please talk to a teacher, nurse or other professional and allow them to direct you to meaningful assistance – to be able to go out in life and have fun, learn to play and feel joy – and to realize that sadness, depression and even despair are all aspects of life along with the “good” times.

There is a lovely Buddha saying – the Lotus flower only grows in mud (or something like that). Beauty, peace, joy is born of pain.

One way to emotionally realize the implications of suicide it to volunteer for those who are truly dying (physically at least) and have no option as you do now. AIDS, cancer patients – go in as a volunteer to bring something of yourself to them. Most would give their all to trade places with you. By giving to them you will receive much.

Which organ would you donate now as an organ donor? Would you give up both kidneys, both lungs? This is just my way of asking you do you really wish to cease your position on this planet – which is meant as a learning lesson for our souls.

We are all unique – all bring unique talents and gifts to contribute to others. If you find your talents and gifts – true gifts and give to others you will start to feel valuable and realize you are important – as we all are.

Well, the immediate answer to your question is: Save up some money and pre-pay for your funeral. Then leave a Will and say how you want to be buried or cremated etc and at least the physical problems are solved. (Depending on how old you are, you may or may not be able to save up the money)

However, you will do permanent damage to your family and friends and no amount of money can change that. They will never be able to forget you and will always feel sad that they didn’t stop you.

You sound like a really nice and thoughtful person who has a lot to offer the world. The reason life is worth living is LOVE. Not necessarily big romantic love, but love of nature, love of friends, love of a pet, love of travel, love of anything that makes you feel love! Most importantly, it is important to love yourself and know that you are here for a reason.

Also, giving is a good way to feel better about yourself. Try to help someone in some way and you will start to feel better inside.

Good luck and try to put these thoughts out of your head!
