Do discuss this with your parents.
If you feel he presents a serious danger, you can get him committed.
Thsi is a serious step, (his attempted suicides make it practically a ‘slam dunk’), but allowing him to hurt the family is worse.
If what you say is all the truth, he does need treatment.
See that he gets it some way or another.
He is blaming his failings on your father, and this is a
bad mechanism that won’t clear up by itself.

As a nurse I would say tell your parents immediately… so this to them. they can take him to local hospital they have what is called a PES or EMH department that can to an on the spot psych evaluation and most likely will place him somewhere for at least 3-5 days for further evaluation. He is obviously from my perspective as a nurse in serious need of this. best case scenario he will start to face his past and issues in the 3-5 weeks they will start him on anti-depressants and maybe an anxiety medicine and when discharged he will have weekly counseling appointments which will include one or two all the family sessions…..worse case scenario they keep him longer in patient because he has deeper serious issues that you all could not even imagine.
DO not take his threats and talk lightly. that is a big mistake often made till it is too late. He needs help tel your parents so they can get it for him. he may be mad at first because he is not thinking rationally but once on meds and stuff he will be a different person and thank you all . good luck you are in my prayers!

Discuss this in detail with your parents – they need to know in order to be able to help him.
