Ok, this is a question for people who own a gun that they keep for self defense from other citizens, as opposed to hunters or people who own a gun to protect themselves from the Feds, etc.

If somebody were to invent a truly effective non lethal weapon that outperformed your gun in every way, would you ditch all of your self defense weapons and buy these instead?

If not, why not? bear in mind that this gun will do EVERYTHING that your regular gun will do, but better, except that it won’t kill.

For example, some Sci-fi gun that could blast through a wall and drop a wild bear with a single shot, but would stun it for a couple of hours through some implausible means, rather than kill it.
And you have constitutional protection if you use one. No liberal can ever take it away or sue you for using one unless you use it to commit a crime.

Now im very familiar with these kind things
like most people say

“if you kill your self you are selfish because you dont care about how the person who love you will miss you”

*But what we are not looking at is that if the ones that love you want you to live through all your pain for them self to stay happy having you around*

im depressed my self and have taken many suicide atempts but now im doing ok as i have learned to live through my problems but still at times it gets very tough and feel like before.
so as i know how people feel i like to help them no matter who they are
but once they turn suicidal i try to talk them out and ask to find alternative way to stay happy.
but if that dosent work i tell them i guess then this is the end,
but i do all with in MY POWER to help,
but even if all that dosent work i know the person is in so much pain and i know how it feels i have been there a lot.

so the main thing is what are your thoughts?

like everytime sum1 would try to help and they stop for a week and cant take it and they bring a big razor blade to skool and the friend tells on him/her and they still do it over the summer and tell their friend that there not as hot as they think you look and saying that everything is that persons fault and that the reason is that him/her started to cut in the 1st place was cause their friend and they go off and do it and they want help and they want to try to do to c how it feel sand c if the pain will go away. There have been various stories in the news media of people being in heavy financial debt killing their families and then committing suicide. Or after being laid off or unemployed they start killing others and finish themselves.
Why can’t such people just file bankruptcy to get protection from creditors instead of going violent with guns?
